Lately I've been yearning to have more hours in the day (or to have some kind of doppelganger haha) just to accomplish more things or simply to take care of what I already have at hand.
But thinking that way is a little absurd! And I wanted to bring here a reflection on the book of Matthew 25:14-30, "The Parable of the Bags of Gold".
In this text, the people who received more (respectively 5 and 2 gold) and knew how to take advantage of it, received praise. While the person who received the least (1 gold) did nothing with what he had at hand.
But instead of talking about "gold", I wanted to talk about time...
If I can't enjoy the time I already have at my disposal... how the hell am I going to be able to enjoy more time? It seems like a recipe for disaster, where: with more time I'll get more tasks. And soon, the extra time will no longer be enough.
In other words, we need to take advantage of the tools, resources and time we have today to build something better. Know how to take advantage of each "gold". And not to be wishing we had more "gold" (or time hehe).
