I’m in my bed and it’s night time. Can’t sleep. So as I get out of bed I think “man I can’t see a thing”. And then it hit me: we need light. Like so much.
In order to walk around the bedroom I need to get some light, otherwise I’ll stumble in things and occasionally will get my wife woken up.
And living can be very similar to this situation.
We need sunlight. We do things in the light of day, plants need to do photosynthesis, some animals need the light to hunt and once the sun goes down everything closes, it’s harder to see things and most of the world is pretty much resting during the night.
Light guides us and drives out the darkness.
The more light we get, the better we can see things, more vitamins we get and we stumble less. And only one person can remove our darkness inside.
“Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, ‘I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.’” John 8:12 NLT
