I grew up going to the Catholic Church, I became an agnostic and the process of becoming a follower of Jesus was not that quick or simple.
Many people have a 'restrained' view of what it is to be a Christian, but not everyone knows the liberating side of following Christ.
The idea of success, status, other people's opinions... they don't matter. I was trapped by the fear of death. I was trapped by what was going to happen in the future. And I'm still stuck with other things that needed to be worked on.
I am not perfect and I will never be. Jesus came to earth and gave his life so that people like me could experience freedom. True freedom.
I had some fear of the Gospel because it confronts what human nature is. But the Gospel is not and never will be for perfect people.
